Hey Choir,

After the 1D camp and activities on 10th March,
3 members said they felt more confident standing infront of a crowd now.
All the members said they felt that there were more bonding between each members.
5 members rated the games 7/10.
7 members rated the games 8/10.
5 members rated the games 9/10.

This 1D camp is quite successful and there are many rooms for improvement.

We chose the games quite wisely according to what benefits the choir.
We played games like:
- Treasure hunt (Team-bonding, Teamwork)
- Popping crazy (Overcome of fear, Team-bonding, Confidence)
- Honey, If you love me (Confidence, Self-esteem)
- Animal sounds (Trust, Being able to sense using other parts of your body besides your eyes, Eg. Ears)
- Where's the grapes (Trust, Team-bonding)
- Dog and bone (Sense of urgency, Attentiveness)

For a Choir, we think the attributes we've organised for the games were quite useful cause:

Team-bonding: Helps the choir to be able to bond, make friends with one another and to sing as one.

Teamwork: In any organisation, teamwork is the most important, choir is not made up of one person, but many. Each and everyone of the members does
make a difference!

Overcome of fear: All humans have fears, and fear of popping a balloon is the most common among girls. The game teaches us to have a sense of urgency will overcome almost any fears. If there is something you fear and you have the determination to overcome it in the shortest period of time. You can do it!

Confidence: As a singer, confidence is what you present yourself as. And as a choir, each and everyone of us must have the confidence to be able to stand up infront of a large crowd and present ourselves to the best. Confidence not only boost our self-esteem but also make us a better and more respectable person.

Trust: Trust among every member makes everyone bond together even further and be united to be able to produce a sound that is one.

Sense with your ears: As a Choir member, not only our mouth, throat, vocal chords, lungs, diaphragm and nose are important, our ears are also equally as important. to be able to hear every note with accuracy, figuring out chords, listening to a melodious Choir piece. The ears does it!

Sense of urgency: As said, it could be used to overcome fears, but also to feel much wanted and more determined to sing your best when competitions and performance dates are arriving to a much closer date.

Attentiveness: Hear more and talk less definitely works when you're studying or even listening to instructors and condutors when they are lecturing. When you pay attention, you will hear more and learn more. Instructions are the most important communication in a choir. eq. you would have to look at the signals given for each choral piece given by the conductor to be able not to sing wrongly and improve on it.

We hope after this camp, all members would learn something from it and benefit from it.
We'd also like to thank all members for their enthusiasm, support and cooperativity towards this camp.
We'll also try to improve on the activities for the Choir.
Feedbacks and comments are welcomed on the tagboard.

Do enjoy your holidays!
